Hello OGEA Membership,
A good portion of our dues money goes toward supporting you, our members, attending CTA conferences in the area. These conferences are very insightful and allow you to meet other teachers in the field from all over the state to get new ideas and help you to improve your practice to be the best for your students!
OGEA will cover the registration cost for your conference, cost of mileage and parking, 1 night stay in a hotel at the CTA rate, and food allowance for 1 meal up to $40.

January 20 - 22 : Issues Conference: Diverse backgrounds and perspectives on public education and supporting all of our students. Las Vegas, NV
February 3 -6 : Good Teaching Conference: Workshops in curriculum and professional development for teachers new and experienced. San Jose, CA - Fairmont Hotel
March 3 - 5: Equity and Human Rights: Protect the Dignity and Civil rights of all children and youth for a more equitable and democratic society. San Jose, CA - Fairmont Hotel
***March 10 - 12: New Educator Weekend: Designed for teachers in their first 5 years of teaching. These workshops count as units you can use to advance on the pay scale. Topics include classroom management, IEPs, First-year insights and more! Irvine, CA.
